The present invention is directed to a method for measuring hair damage by ultraviolet or copper radiation, comprising: eluting a protein fragment from a hair sample with an aqueous solution; extract the proteins by using a solvent; analyze protein fragment samples with MALDI-MS; whereby the protein fragment results are obtained; Identify the presence of a marker protein fragment and identify the fragment by identifying the amino acid sequence through the use of high-resolution Orbitrap-MS, where the protein fragment is a S100A3 protein fragment. |
