The present invention relates to a new bicyclic derivative having an inhibitory activity against sodium-glucose linked transporters (SGLT) present in the intestines and kidneys, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, isomer, hydrate or solvate thereof, and a pharmaceutical composition that includes it as an active ingredient, which effectively inhibits the activity of SGLT, and therefore can be used as a therapeutic agent for the treatment of diseases caused by hyperglycemia, such as diabetes including insulin-dependent diabetes. (diabetes mellitus type I) and non-insulin dependent diabetes (diabetes mellitus type II), diabetic complications, and obesity. |
