titleOfInvention HETERO-TRANSGLICOSILASA NOVEDOSA AND USES OF THE SAME.
abstract The present invention relates to a hetero-transglycosylase protein having cellulose activity: xyloglucan endotransglucosylase (CXE) in addition to the beta-glucan activity with mixed bonding: xyloglucan endotransglucosylase (MXE). The protein may comprise the amino acid sequence of any one of SEQ ID NOs: 2, 6 and 8 or a functional fragment thereof; or an amino acid sequence that has at least 60% sequence identity with any one of SEQ ID NO: 2, 6 and 8, or with SEQ ID NO: 2 from 22 to 280 amino acids, for SEQ ID NO: 6 from 26 to 283 amino acids, or for SEQ ID NO: 8 from 29 to 287 amino acids. The invention further relates to an isolated nucleic acid encoding the protein described herein, a chimeric gene comprising, inter alia, the nucleic acid described herein, a vector comprising said chimeric gene, a host cell comprising said vector or said chimeric gene and a transgenic plant as intended. In addition, a production method of a transgenic plant and a method for improving cellulosic material properties are disclosed in this document.
