An electrical conductive coating material capable of providing sufficient conductivity for lightning protection (LSP) and / or electromagnetic interference shielding (EMI) is described. The conductive coating material is a multilayer structure with a very thin conductive layer (for example, solid metal sheet) and a resin film formed on at least one surface of the conductive layer. The resin film is formed from a curable ream composition containing a novolac epoxy resin, a trifunctional or tetrafunctional epoxy resin, ceramic microspheres, a latent amines based curing agent, particulate inorganic filler and a hardening component. Optionally, the ream film additionally includes conductive additives to increase the electrical conductivity of the coating material. The resin film exhibits a high Tg, as well as high resistance to paint removal solutions. In addition, the conductive coating material is suitable for curing together with the substrates of the fiber reinforced resin compound. |
