abstract A liquid cleaning composition is described which comprises an effective cleaning amount of surfactant and an alkoxylated alkyl ether with 5 to 20 alkoxy portions and a C3 to C12 alkyl. The alkoxylated alkyl ether may be PPG-14 butyl ether. The alkoxylated alkyl ether can reduce the threading effect of the cleaning composition, increase the diffusion of the fragrance of the cleaning composition, increase the solubilization of oil, increase the volume of foam of the cleaning composition, or reduce the dryness of the skin.
