titleOfInvention | STABILIZATION OF X-RAY DIAGNOSTIC COMPOSITION. |
abstract | The invention relates to a composition comprising a non-ionic X-ray contrast agent in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, and in particular to a supersaturated X-ray composition comprising X-ray contrast agents with a high water dissolution temperature. In particular, the invention provides such a composition, which is stable, and where crystallization during storage is avoided. In a preferred aspect, the X-ray contrast agent is loforminol and the composition includes a nucleation and growth inhibitor. The invention further relates to a process for the preparation of such a stable X-ray diagnostic composition. |
