In another embodiment, the present invention relates to an additive composition for the control and inhibition of the polymerization of styrene, wherein the composition comprises an oxide-treated amine derivative and methylenequinone, and wherein the amine is an amine non-polymerization inhibitor, and the present invention also relates to a method of preparing and using them.
