titleOfInvention METHOD OF PRE-TREATMENT WITH HYDOCLORITE SODIUM OF CONCENTRATES AND AERIAL MINERALS WITH ARSENOPIRITE IN ALCALINE ENVIRONMENT PRIOR TO PRESSURE OXIDIZING CIANURATION FOR THE GOLD DISSOLUTION OF THIS REFRACTORY MATERIAL.
abstract The innovative method presented in this patent application belongs to the field of Extractive Metallurgy for the recovery of gold and silver; particularly it refers to a method that uses sodium hypochlorite for the dissolution of arsenic mainly using moderate temperature and oxygen pressure in an autoclave during a pretreatment time of 2 hours, this extraction of arsenic from the arsenopyrite mineral causes the formation of cavities , pores or gaps which with this expose the scattered gold particles within the ore with the cyanide ions and as a catalyst the oxygen. With this method of pretreatment in an alkaline medium and with the use of cyanide, oxygen, temperature and moderate pressure, gold and silver extractions are achieved more efficiently in a short time of 2 hours compared to the conventional method used 72 hours
