The invention relates to a process for reacting a carboxylic acid ester of the formula (I) R1-A-COOR2 (I), wherein R1 is selected from the group comprising hydrogen, -CH2OH, -CHO, -COOR3, -CH2SH, -CH2OR3 and -CH2NH2, wherein R2 is selected from the group comprising alkyl, preferably methyl, ethyl and propyl, wherein R3 is selected from the group comprising hydrogen and alkyl, preferably methyl, ethyl and propyl, and wherein A is a substituted, unsubstituted, linear, branched and / or cyclic substituted alkylene, alkenylene, arylene or aralkylene radical having at least 4, more preferably 6, even more preferably 8 carbons, by means of a cell comprising the step of a) contacting the cell with said carboxylic acid ester in an aqueous solution, wherein the cell is a recombinant cell having reduced activity of a polypeptide comprising SEQ ID NO 2 or a variant thereof on the cell of kind wild, and in a cell suitable for it, and its uses. |
