A suture anchor to anchor a suture to a bone, which includes a distal end having a bifurcated tip, in which the bifurcated tip defines a suture coupling groove, a proximal end, a longitudinal axis between the distal end and the proximal end and two substantially flat surfaces that extend between the distal end and the proximal end, where the two substantially flat surfaces are substantially parallel, where the two substantially flat surfaces are separated by a thickness of no more than about 0.25 cm ( 0.1 inch) and where the two substantially flat surfaces extend along an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis by means of a width of no more than about 1.01 cm (0.4 inches). |
