abstract Novel radioactive tracers for the Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging are described. Novel radioactive tracers are described for Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging of neuroendocrine tumors. Specifically, the present invention describes novel analogs of [18F] [fluoroethyltriazol- [Tyr3] octreotate; in particular, those that focus on somatostatin receptors found on the surface of gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumor cells. The present invention also describes intermediaries, precursors, pharmaceutical compositions, manufacturing methods, and methods of using novel radioactive tracers.
