abstract In view of the above and for the purpose of solving the limitations found, it is the object of the present invention to offer a deoxidizing briquette with aluminum matrix and silicon carbide for liquid steel which comprises: a) from 38% to 60 % by weight of aluminum; b) 36% to 57% by weight of silicon carbide; c) 0.75% to 1.13% by weight of magnesium; d) 0.24% to 0.6% by weight of carbon; e) 0.72% to 1.08% by weight of iron oxide; f) 0.24% to 0.36% by weight of manganese; and g) 0.64% to 0.96% of insoluble oxides.
