abstract Cleaning system for implements or medical instruments that includes a number of cleaning caps attached to a substrate. Each cleaning lid can be removed selectively and individually from the substrate, which, prior to said removal, acts as a seal for the opening of each lid. Each lid includes an internal cavity accessible through the opening. The internal cavity maintains a cleaning material that contains a cleaning agent, which is held in the internal cavity by the seal provided by the substrate. After removal, the lid can be placed on a site of a medical instrument to clean the site by contact with the cleaning material and the cleaning agent.
