COMPOSITIONS AND USES OF MATERIALS WITH HIGH ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITY AND LOW TOXICITY CROSSED REFERENCE AT PRIOR APPLICATIONS. |
abstract |
Antimicrobial agents consisting of improved synthetic copolypeptides contain cationic amino acid residues and can be based on a block sequence. These antimicrobial agents have a low toxicity to mammals and can lead to targeted self-assembly. The synthetic co-polypeptides of the invention are useful in the treatment of wounds and other infections. |
