abstract | The present invention concerns a stable formulation of botulinum neurotoxin cream or gel type A coupled to third generation liposomal nanoparticles of topical application for the treatment of hyperhidrosis. The formulation contains a thickening agent, an emulsifying agent and a moisturizing agent at a pH similar to human skin. Through this topical application formulation, the dose of toxin applied per session can be reduced, pain associated with injections is avoided and a clinical effect of sweating inhibition is achieved. |
