CUTTING CATHETER THAT INCLUDES STABILITY CHARACTERISTICS DISTANT SPORTS. |
abstract |
A catheter tube for insertion into a patient's body is disclosed. The catheter tube includes a distant portion that remains stable during infusion of fluid into the patient, thereby reducing or eliminating flagellation of the distant catheter tip, even during power injection. In one embodiment, the catheter tube defines at least one lumen and is formed of a tube material that defines a proximal portion and a distant portion of the catheter tube. The catheter tube is configured such that the arithmetic product of an elastic module and a moment of inertia of the area for at least a portion of the distant portion of the catheter tube defined by the catheter tube material is greater relative to the product arithmetic of an elastic module and a moment of inertia of the area for at least a portion of the proximal portion of the catheter tube. |
