A continuous process and system for preparing branched aldehydes by reacting aldehyde with a polymeric acid catalyst with the absence of any Group VIII metal to produce a product having approximately 10 to 99.99 by weight of unsaturated branched aldehyde and at least 92% of selectivity of the reaction with the branched aldehyde and recycle a portion of the product. |
