titleOfInvention CHLOROPHILINE STABILIZED IN HYDROTALCITE.
abstract The present invention relates to a new material constituted by chlorophyllin intercalated in hydrotalcite. It is proposed to use chlorophyllin that differs from chlorophyll by the type of cations associated with the anionic complex and therefore has negatively charged sections and hydrotalcite that functions as an anionic exchanger. Chlorophyllin molecules bind to hydrotalcite through their OH groups. For the synthesis, the coprecipitation of M2 + and M3 + metal salts that react with basic solutions is used, the mixture is hydrothermally treated in a microwave reactor, the solids obtained are recovered and dried in the oven. The characterization tests X-RAY DIFRACTION and NITROGEN FISISORTION show the presence of chlorophyllin in the interlaminar spaces of the hydrotalcite, which confirms the existence of the novelty described. Chlorophyllin is immobilized in the hydrotalcite forming an original nanocomposite that can be used as a natural dye, useful in the food industry, or in the pharmaceutical industry (toothpaste or alternative medicine, since the hydrotalcite would function as a vehicle protecting chlorophyllin to release it in its destination), it can also be useful to study photosynthesis and get an artificial chlorophyll.
