abstract The present invention generally relates to a process for the production of a container surrounding an interior, comprising steps a. provide a flat compound comprising i. a carrier layer; ii. a plastic barrier layer attached to the carrier layer; iii. at least two layers of thermoplastic plastic KSa and KSw which are provided on the side of the plastic barrier layer that looks away from the carrier layer, at least one of the at least two layers of plastic being a mixture of plastics of at least two plastics; b. folding the flat compound to form a fold with at least two folded surfaces adjacent to each other; and c. joining at least one region of part of the at least two folded surfaces respectively when heating the part region to form a container region, at least one of the at least two layers of thermoplastic plastic in step b. It has a temperature that is below the melting temperature of this plastic layer, and a container that can be obtained by this process.
