| abstract |
A lip balm applicator product consists of upper and lower portions that, when connected together, define the applicator product as a substantially spherical figure. A support platform is placed in the lower portion and accommodates an amount of lip balm having an arched surface. A lip balm is composed of a composition of waxes and oils in solid form and together to have a curved surface. The composition is made to have the arched surface by using a hot pouring process. The method of manufacturing a lip balm is composed of providing a receptacle that has an arched concave surface. The lip balm material in a hot melted phase is poured into the receptacle. Once poured, the hot melted phase is allowed to solidify, such that a surface of the solidified lip balm material has an arched configuration corresponding to the arched concave surface of the receptacle. |
