Compositions and methods are provided to regulate the expression of heterologous nucleotide sequences in a plant. The compositions include nucleotide sequences for a nucleidoid 1 promoter of Arabidopsis thaliana / internal tegument (AT NUC1). A method is also provided for expressing a heterologous nucleotide sequence in a plant with the use of a promoter sequence described in the present invention. |
