A process for obtaining free-flowing powders, vehicle-free powders, from aqueous solutions of deliquescent quaternary ammonium compounds in a two-stage process, comprising a drying stage and a powder mixing stage is described; the excellent characteristics of free flow and stability of the final product could only be obtained when at least one monovalent metal salt of fatty acid is added to the liquid phase in the drying stage among other possible additives and at least one polyvalent metal salt of acid fatty in the powder mixing stage; Surprising synergy was observed between these additives when applied as described in the present invention. |
