abstract An absorbent article packaged for women's care has an absorbent article with an absorbent structure and a cover. The absorbent structure is configured for deposition on the side of the vaginal region of a female user. The cover is configured to support the absorbent structure in the vaginal region. The cover has a surface facing the body and a surface facing the garment. The surface facing the body has an adhesive on it to adhere the cover directly to the user. At least a part of the cover extends outwardly beyond the periphery of the absorbent structure. The absorbent article can be configured between a packed configuration and a usage configuration. At least a portion of the portion that extends outwardly from the cover is arranged in a direct overlapping relationship with a portion of the absorbent structure of the packaged configuration. The part that extends out of the cover is free of an overlapping relationship with the absorbent structure in the use configuration.
