titleOfInvention | METHOD OF DIAGNOSIS FOR THE EARLY DETECTION OF UTERINE CERVIC CANCER THROUGH THE DETECTION OF EAG1 PROTEIN AS A MARKER OF CERVICAL INTRAEPITELIAL INJURIES. |
abstract | The present invention describes methods for the early detection of uterine cervical cancer (CaCu) by detecting the human Eag1 protein with specific antibodies. The Eag1 protein is differentially expressed in cervical tissue and in close association with the stage of development of the disease, being detected from early stages, so the described method can serve as an aid in the timely detection of CaCu. Likewise, the method of the invention aims to reduce the percentage of false positives or negatives that may occur in the cytological screening test (Pap smear) and may increase the sensitivity of detection of the tests currently used for the diagnosis of CaCu. |
