titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR THE TREATMENT OF WASTEWATER CONTAINING CALCIUM MAGNESIUM.
abstract This invention relates to a process for the administration, management and treatment of wastewater generated during the regeneration cycle of cation exchange resins, which is comprised of the backwash, brine addition (regeneration) and rinse stages, having as a primary objective zero discharges to municipal sewage and / or dilution of the problem with rainwater or sewage treatment plants. The object of this invention is to provide a process for the administration, management and treatment of wastewater derived from the process of regeneration of cation exchange resins, whereby the wastewater streams of the backwash and rinse stages are capable of being reused and / or recycled, the current generated by the addition of brine is separated and treated with salts of metal sulfates precipitating calcium ions and carbonates, hydroxides and oxides to remove magnesium ions, the chemical compounds used come from various sources such as: commercial products , by-products and / or waste. The water product of said treatment has appropriate characteristics to be used in the regeneration of spent exchange resins.
