| abstract |
The present invention relates to chewing gum or bubble gum compositions that include a first region composition and a second rubber region or region adjacent to or surrounding the first region. The composition of the first region may be a filler composition, such as a liquid filler composition. The second region includes a polyol composition that includes isomaltitol alone or in combination with other polyols. The addition of isomaltitol to the second region provides stability to the chewing gum composition and reduces the problem of leaks and migration of the composition of the first region to the second region. The multi-region chewing gum composition may also include a coating region that surrounds or covers the second region. |
