The present invention relates to an improved flame retardant honeycomb structure comprising high modulus fiber and a flame retardant thermoplastic binder having a melting temperature of 120 oc to 350 oc, and a limiting oxygen index of 26 or greater, to the methods for manufacturing the honeycomb structure, and to articles comprising the honeycomb structure. In a preferred embodiment, the paper in the honeycomb structure has a UL-94 V-O fire reaction rating. |
