titleOfInvention | STEEL ALLOY, SUPPORT OR SUPPORT PART FOR PLASTIC MOLDING TOOL, HARDENED PREFORM AND BEARING TO SUPPORT OR SUPPORT PART, PROCESS TO PUT A STEEL ALLOY. |
abstract | The present invention relates to a steel alloy suitable for supports and support parts for plastic molding tools containing in% weight: 0.08-0.19 C, 0.05-0.20 N, where the total amount of C + N will satisfy the condition, 0.16 = C + N = 0.28, 0.1 - 1.5 Si, 0.1 - 2.0 Mn, 13.0 - 15.4 Cr, 0.01 - 1.8 Ni, optionally vanadium up to a maximum of 0.7 V, optionally sulfide in quantities up to a maximum of 0.25 S and optionally also calcium and oxygen in amounts up to a maximum of 0.01 (100 ppm) Ca and max. 0.01 (100 ppm) of O, to improve the machinability of steel, the rest is iron and inevitable impurities. The steel alloy will have a microstructure in the hardened and tough condition which comprises a martensitic matrix that contains up to 30% by volume of ferrite, and which has a hardness in its hardened and tough condition of between 290-352 HB. The invention also relates to a process for manufacturing the supports or parts of the support for plastic molding tools as well as the supports themselves or parts of the supports. |
