titleOfInvention | TEXTILES NOT FABRICS UNITED BY THREAD BASED ON SOFT AND EXTENSIBLE POLYPROPYLENE. |
abstract | The present invention relates to nonwoven substrates or textiles. In particular, the present invention relates to nonwoven substrates that have superior abrasion resistance and excellent softness characteristics. Nonwoven materials contain fibers made from a mixture of polymers of isotactic polypropylene and elastomers or plastomers based on reactor classification propylene together with from 100 to 2500 ppm (by weight of fiber) of a sliding agent. The isotactic polypropylene can be a homopolymer of propylene, and / or random copolymers of propylene and one or more alpha-olefins. The elastomers or plastomers based on propylene reactor classification have a molecular weight distribution of less than about 3.5, and a heat of fusion of less than about 90 joule / g. In particular, propylene-based elastomers or plastomers of reactor classification contain from 3 to 15 percent by weight of units from an ethylene and a flow rate from 2 to 200 grams / 10 minutes. Erucamide is the preferred sliding additive. |
