abstract | The invention relates to a process for the production of at least one organic compound with at least 3 atoms of C or with at least 2 atoms of C and at least one N atom, by fermentation, which comprises the following steps: a) grinding a source of starch, which produces a ground material, which contains at least a part of the solid components of the starch source that do not contain starch, a2) suspension of the ground material with an aqueous liquid, and liquefaction of the ground material in the aqueous liquid in the presence of at least one enzyme that liquefies starch, whereby an aqueous medium containing dextrin is obtained. (1), which covers at least a part of the solid components of the starch source that do not contain starch, b) use of the aqueous medium containing dextrin, (1), in a fermentation for the cultivation of a microorganism that is suitable for the overproduction of the organic compound, not adding enzymes that hydrolyze dextrins in order to obtain monosaccharides, or adding said enzymes in an amount less than 0.001% by weight, based on the total weight of the starch source applied |
