titleOfInvention GENES OF ACTINOBACILLUS SUCCINOGENES 130Z (ATCC 55618) FOR THE PRODUCTION OF CHEMICAL PRODUCTS OF THE ROAD OF 4 CARBON ATOMS OF A. SUCCINOGENES.
abstract Actinobacillus succinogenes genes and methods for using genes in A. succinogenes manipulated by genetic engineering to improve the production of chemicals such as succinate, fumarate, malate, 5-aminolevulinate, 2-oxoglutarate, glutamate, and aspartate are described . Strains of A. succinogenes manipulated by genetic engineering are capable of overexpressing the C4 enzyme. A. succinogenes manipulated by genetic engineering may have one or more deletions or modifications of genes that inhibit C3 enzymes. The flows that supply the substrate to the C4 pathway can also be improved in some of A. succinogenes manipulated by genetic engineering.
