abstract An inertial sensor-based signaling device 10 is described, which is compatible with a removable USB 14 capsule having a digital flash memory 32 and an integrated radio transceiver 30. Flash memory 32 can be used by a user to store software that allows a user to load software applications on compatible computers. The signaling device 10 is adapted to receive the USB 14 capsule resulting in a combined memory / transceiver and signaling system that can be conveniently carried as an individual unit in a bag or through a band fastener.
