CUTTING SEGMENT FOR TOOL WITH DIAMOND TIP AND TOOL WITH DIAMOND TIP THAT HAS THE SEGMENT. |
abstract |
The invention relates to a cutting segment of a diamond-tipped tool for cutting or drilling a brittle workpiece such as stone, bricks, concrete and asphalt, and a diamond-tipped tool that has the same. The invention allows superior cutting ratio and prolonged life without suffering from wear R during cutting. In the cutting segment, a number of diamond particles are arranged in a plurality of plate-shaped layers stacked perpendicular to a cutting direction. Each of the layers of diamond particles has a plurality of rows of particles on a cutting surface. In addition, at least two of the layers of diamond particles overlap on at least one side of the cutting segment observed from the front of the cutting segment in the cutting direction. The invention ensures uniform cutting by significantly reducing the wear R that arises during cutting and thus enables the superior cutting ratio and the longest service life. |
