titleOfInvention SEPARATION OF CONTAMINANTS FROM POLYESTER MATERIALS.
abstract The present invention is directed, in general, to a process for repairing and recovering polyester after the consumer from various polluting materials. The invention can be used to separate post-consumer polyester from various contaminants such as glass, impurities, paper, metal, glue, dye and the like. The described process consists of several stages that include a preparation stage, in which a part of the contaminants can be separated from the polyester, as well as a reaction stage, in which a part of the polyester can be saponified and the contaminants can be physically separated from polyester. Also, during the reaction stage, some pollutants difficult to separate, such as aluminum and polyvinylchloride, can react to a more easily separable form from the polyester.
