abstract | In many embodiments, the present invention provides a new class of compounds of structural formulas IA or IB, where R1-R8 are as described herein (see formulas IA or IB) as inhibitors of CCR5 receptors, methods for preparing said compounds , pharmaceutical compositions containing one or more of said compounds, methods for preparing pharmaceutical formulations comprising one or more of said compounds, and methods of treatment, prevention and inhibition or improvement of one or more diseases associated with CCR5 using said pharmaceutical compounds or compositions . The invention also relates to the use of a combination of a compound of this invention and one or more other useful antiviral agents in the treatment of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). The invention also relates to the use of a compound of this invention, alone or in combination with another agent in the treatment of solid organ transplant rejection, graft versus host disease, arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, asthma, allergies or multiple sclerosis. |
