titleOfInvention SYNTHESIS, PRODUCTION AND UTILITY OF TAURINE AS A MEDICINE.
abstract The quantitatively most important route for excretion of cholesterol in mammals is the information of bile salts (the conjugate bases of bile acids). The main bile salts are synthesized and secreted as glycine or taurine conjugates. Taurine (2-aminoethyl sulfonic acid) is produced naturally by liver cells and cells of the central nervous system, is neuroprotective and is an agent that lowers cholesterol with virtually no recorded side effects.
