abstract A personal care product is provided, which includes a package filled with a personal care composition and instructions printed on or associated with the package, indicating the topical use of the composition on the skin for the purpose of controlling the signs of aging. The composition includes a quaternary ammonium compound selected from (a) salts of a mono-substituted monosaccharide with hydroxypropyltri (C1-C3 alkyl) ammonium; (b) salts of polyols mono-substituted with hydroxypropyltri (C1-C3 alkyl) ammonium, the salts have a cation of an average molecular weight not greater than 450 and the salt has a Tg no greater than 10 degree C; (c) salts of dihydroxypropyltri (C1-C3 alkyl) ammonium; (d) salts of chlorohydroxypropyltri (C1-C3 alkyl) ammonium; and (e) mixtures thereof.
