| abstract |
A stent (1 |) includes a stent body that has a circumference and struts helically arranged around the circumference in turns. At least two of the struts have respective stent ends. At least two rowing-shaped markers (12) extend from one of the respective stent ends. The markers have respective end marker ends and a different total longitudinal length substantially aligning the ends of the end marker approximately along an individual circumference of the stent body. A method of making a helical stent includes the steps of providing a stent body with struts arranged around the circumference thereof in turns and with bridges (9) connecting the struts in adjacent turns. The stent body expands, and then some of the bridges, in particular, sacrificial bridges, are removed. |
