A method is described for making a laminated material comprising a first surface layer comprising resorcinol arylate polyester chain members and a second surface layer suitable for bonding to a substrate, comprising co-extruding a first surface layer material polymeric and a second polymeric surface layer material through a die and towards the first contact line of a stack of calendering rollers comprising a first surface roller and a second surface roller defining the first contact line to form The laminated material. A contact line load on the first contact line of more than or equal to approximately 400 N / cm may be applied to the laminate, and the laminate material may be collected from the roller stack. The first roller and the second roller can each have a surface smoothness of less than or equal to about 5 micrometers and temperatures of about 40 degrees C to about 150 degrees C. |
