The present invention relates to an oxygenated fluorochemical emulsion composition for treating hypoxic tumor cells, characterized in that it comprises: a perfluorocarbon with a vapor pressure less than 5 Torr., Selected from perfluoro compounds with 9 to 14 carbon atoms, partial or fully condensed, present in the emulsion in a concentration of 10 to 90 weight / volume percent, a surfactant selected from the group of lecithins, acetylene diols, polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene polymers, a mixture of lecithin, glycerin and triglycerides, or a combination of the above surfactants, with the rest of the emulsion being an aqueous phase and that the emulsion has a particle size range of 0.005 to 0.20 microns. |
