titleOfInvention METHOD FOR PREPARING SUPERIOR CIS-1,4-DIENO POLYMERS THAT HAVE GOOD STRENGTH AND HEAVY CRUDE, USING A CATALYZING COMPOSITION THAT CONTAINS A CARBOXYLATED METAL OXI-ALUMINATE COMPONENT
abstract The present invention relates to a method for preparing diene polymers, having a high cis-1,4 addition content and good strength and tackiness in crude oil, which comprises polymerizing a 1,3-diene monomer in a hydrocarbon solvent, in the presence of a catalytically effective amount of a catalyst composition comprising: a) a carboxylated metal oxy-aluminate compound selected from the group consisting of compounds represented by the formulas (RCOOMO) -3A1 and (RCOOMO) 2A1OR ', where R and R 'are alkyl radicals containing from 7 to 17 carbon atoms and M is nickel or cobalt; b) an organometallic compound, in which the metal is selected from Groups I, II, and III of the Periodic System; and c) one or more fluorine-containing compounds, selected from the group consisting of boron trifluoride complexes with ethers, alcohols, or mixtures thereof; hydrogen fluorides; hydrogen fluoride complexes with ether alcohols or mixtures thereof and mixtures of the mentioned compounds.
