titleOfInvention IMPROVEMENTS TO SOAP BAR AND DETERGENT COMBINATION TO INCREASE SOFTNESS
abstract The present invention relates to improvements to an ultra-soft skin cleansing bath bar comprising: a. from about 5 to 35 weight percent of an ethoxylated surfactant having an alkyl chain length of at least eight carbon atoms and having at least three ethoxy groups; b. from about 61 to 91 percent by weight of soap; and compositional improvements characterized in that it further comprises optional components selected from the group consisting of perfume, titanium dioxide, cellulose ether, synthetic silica, and mixtures thereof. Process improvements to make a detergent bar comprising: a) melting a quantity of pure soap at a temperature of around 200 degrees F (93.3 degrees C): b) adding ethoxylated alcohol sulfate to said soap while stirring; c) stirring said soap and ethoxylated alcohol sulfate; d) then introduce additives to reduce tackiness and to form a mixture; e) then stir for an additional two minutes; f) drying to reduce humidity to below 5 percent; g) grinding said mixture a first time and then adding the minor additives to said mixture; h) grinding a second time; i) extruding said mixture while maintaining a temperature of between 90-100 degrees F (32.22-37.7 degrees C); j) extruding said mixture into a plurality of tapes; k) and then pressing said tapes into bars.
