titleOfInvention POLYALKYLENE OXYAMINE CATALYZERS FOR DIALKYL DISULPHES AND POLYSULFIDES USED TO DISSOLVE SULFUR
abstract The present invention relates to a composition comprising a higher proportion of a sulfide compound of the following formula: R1SSaSR2 where R1 and R2 are independently alkyl, alkaryl, alkoxyalkyl or hydroxyalkyl radicals, where the alkyl moieties have from 1 to 24 atoms carbon; a is the average number of internal sulfur atoms in the sulfide and varies from 0 to 3, and a catalytic amount of at least one polyalkylenoxyamine or -polyamine, which contains a primary or secondary amine functionality, and where the alkylene radical is a substituted or unsubstituted radical having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, including one substituent group.
