| abstract | The invention relates to medicine, especially to ophthalmology. The device for the treatment of senile cataract includes a syringe (1) with a needle executed from two segments joined at an angle of 90ยบ, the proximal segment (2) is 5 mm long and the distal one ( 3) - 7 mm. The method of treatment of senile cataract consists in the fact that the local and regional anesthesia is performed, the upper rectus muscle is fixed, the conjunctival incision is made at the level of the tongue, corresponding to the 1000 ... 1400 hours, the puncture is performed of the anterior chamber at the level of the tongue, corresponding to 1100 hours, with the aid of said device and 0.3 ml of sterile air is introduced under the crystalline capsule, then the anterior crystalline capsule is marked by the introduction of 0.2 ml of methylene blue, is carried out a circular incision at the level of the tongue, corresponding to the hours 1000 ... 1300, the crystalline nucleus is removed, the crystalline masses are washed, implanted to the artificial lens, the tissues are sutured on the layers, and in the subconjunctival space an antibiotic and a corticosteroid remedy are introduced. |
