A method of manufacturing pharmaceutical compositions containing rifaximin in the form of gastroresistant microspheres, compositions and their use for the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases |
abstract |
The invention relates to a method for the manufacture of pharmaceutical compositions containing rifaximin in the form of gastroresistant microbeads, to compositions based on the corresponding gastroresistant microbeads and to their use for treating inflammatory bowel diseases. The manufacturing method consists in spraying into a fluidized bed apparatus through a nozzle under a pressure of 1.0 ... 1.5 bar and at a speed of 150 ... 300 g / min of an aqueous suspension containing a gastroresistant polymer and excipients. At the same time, the apparatus supports active rifaximin in suspension together with a fluidity-increasing agent using a stream of air heated to a temperature of 50 ... 75 ° C and with an output flow rate of 450 ... 650 m3 / h. Rifaximin microgranules made according to the claimed method and pharmaceutical compositions for them the basis are gastroresistant due to the polymer coating insoluble at pH 1.5 ... 4.0 and soluble at pH 5.0 ... 7.7 and can be used in the manufacture of drugs for the effective treatment of inflammatory diseases intestinal tract, in particular Crohn's disease. |
