It is disclosed utilization of S-alkyl isothiouronium, not limiting oneself to the utilization of the preferable compound of diethyl phosphate S-ethyl isothiouronium, for treatment of cephalalgia, in particular of migraine, as well as for prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting. The compositions described in the description are efficient in the prevention and attenuation of the vomiting associated with migraine or with certain methods of treatment, such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy, as well as with other symptoms of migraine, including phonophobia and photophobia.
