abstract The invention relates to new derivatives of spiro [2H-1-benzo-pyran-2,4′-piperidine] -4 (3H) -one of general formula (I) where R is halogen, nitro or linear or branched C1-6 alkyl group, to their acid additive salts, as well as to their quaternary salts with a benzyl group. The above compounds have a beneficial effect on dementia of various pathological occurrences and the accompanying symptoms. In addition, the invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions containing these compounds as active agents.
