titleOfInvention INTEGRATED DEVICE FOR THE DEPOLLUTION OF WATER AND THE PRODUCTION OF ELECTRIC ENERGY
abstract INTEGRATED DEVICE FOR THE DEPOLLUTATION OF WATER AND THE PRODUCTION OF ELECTRIC ENERGY It consists of a photocatalytic-photovoltaic hybrid system comprising a photocatalytic reactor (2) made of a material transparent at least to visible radiation from the sun and containing a photocatalyst of dioxide titanium, iron (II) or iron (III), superimposed on a photovoltaic panel (3), both on the same support (4) can be inclined at an angle (10) adequate to take advantage of incident radiation optimally. The photocatalytic reactor (2) protects the photovoltaic panel (3) from the ultraviolet and infrared radiation of the sun, which is absorbed by the photocatalyst and the water, respectively. A recirculation pump (5), whose power supply is provided by the photovoltaic panel (3), ensures the flow of water through the photocatalytic reactor (2), which further cools the photovoltaic panel (3). Can be used especially for the purification of water in isolated places. Figure 4
