abstract The present invention relates to a kit (i.e., an article of manufacture) for improving sequential appropriate oral administration of a pharmaceutical active ingredient and accompanying nutrients, said kit comprising: less than one unit dose of pharmaceutical active substance to be given continuously with a frequency of once a week, twice a week, once every two weeks, twice a month, or once a month; (b) at least one unit dose of a nutrient to be given as a result of the administration of the active dose; and (c) a blister carton containing individually and dispensable unit doses; wherein said unit doses of pharmaceutical active substance and nutrient are disposed horizontally or vertically in the order of their use on the blister carton. Preferably, the active substance is calcium, vitamin D, or a combined unit dose of calcium and vitamin D.
