The invention relates to the formation of electrically conductive areas on the surface of a polymeric product made of a polymer selected from thermoplastics or reaction plastics or mixtures thereof. The intended metallizing region of the polymeric product is induced by irradiation with laser radiation, then the excited area is activated by immersing the polymeric product into an activating solution, from which the metal is precipitated on the excited areas to obtain activated areas. The product is then washed away and the activated area is metallized by immersing the product in a chemical metallization solution. In order to create an economically viable way of forming conductive tracks and to improve their quality and selectivity resolution, especially in the formation of tracks on a complex 3D surface, the metallized areas are excited by a laser whose radiation dose and parameters are selected so that a negative static charge is generated on the surface of the irradiated polymer product without destruction. polymer surface, and the activating solution is an aqueous solution of salts, optionally comprising one of the following metal groups: silver (Ag), copper (Cu), nickel (Ni), cobalt (Co), zinc (Zn), chromium (Cr), tin (Sn) salts. |
